Punjab Introduces Feature to Turn Phones Into Safe City Cameras

Now every citizen’s mobile phone camera can function as a Safe City camera. Under the Punjab Chief Minister’s “Safe Punjab Vision,” the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a major security step that will allow citizens to instantly share video evidence of serious incidents with Safe City.

A new, advanced feature, “Connect to PSCA,” has been added to the Safe City public safety app. Through this tool, users can link their mobile phone camera directly to the Safe City system.

In an emergency call to helpline 15, the Safe City officer will send the caller a live-feed link. Once the link is opened, the citizen’s mobile camera will automatically go live in the Safe City control room.

This will enable officials to view the real-time situation at the incident site through the citizen’s phone and dispatch immediate assistance.

According to the Safe Cities Authority spokesperson, the service is strictly for emergency circumstances. Citizens are advised to keep their phone location enabled and avoid sharing unnecessary videos.

  • By the time citizen will call 15 it will ne attended in centuries abd the link will be sent the complainant will struggle to open link by this time voilater will disappear or one making accid3nt will flee wha a suggestion

  • considering the infrastructure on which this service will run and the super lazy 15 service….it would be another failed experiment.
