PIA Launches New Weekly International Flight

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will start a new once-a-week flight between Karachi and Riyadh beginning January 2, 2026, expanding its Saudi Arabia network.

The national carrier already operates flights to Riyadh from Islamabad and Lahore. According to the schedule, Flight PK729 will depart Karachi every Friday at 8:45 PM on an Airbus A320 and land in Riyadh at 10:45 PM after a four-hour journey.

The return flight, PK730, will leave Riyadh early Saturday at 12:05 AM and arrive in Karachi at 5:10 AM after a flight time of three hours and five minutes.

PIA officials said the new connection aims to facilitate business travelers, expatriate workers, and families frequently traveling between Karachi and the Saudi capital. The airline continues to adjust its network as part of efforts to improve international connectivity and restore customer confidence.

  • I just request the flight management to focus in international flight specially in Saudi Arabia, we are indent to with PIA but frequently PIA flight delays are in routine, then people choose another Airlines, because of expiry of visa, so please ensure that flight from Riyadh to Islamabad an lahore should be regulared and should not be cancelled or unnecessary delay. Thanks

  • Best of Luck for Karachi Riyadh Flight.
But PIA should also arrange landing Right for Karachi Najaf Flight ,at least once a week.
This is very lucerative sector for Zayreens travelling on this route.

  • Its a very good move by PIA but thing is A320 aircraft has less capacity for luggage which resulted left over baggage at destination and passengers inconvenience and mishandling
