Pakistan will observe two back-to-back holidays in the final week of December 2025, marking both a national occasion and a religious festival, according to a notification by the cabinet division.
The dates were previously set under the federal government’s official holiday schedule for the year.
According to the notification, December 25 will be observed nationwide as a public holiday to commemorate Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas. On December 26, Christians across the country will receive an additional holiday designated specifically for the community.
Both holidays fall under the Cabinet Division’s annual calendar issued for 2025, which outlines public and community-specific observances for the year.
