HEC Extends Deadline for Free Coursera Licenses

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced that all learners enrolled under the HEC-DLSEI project will continue to have free access to Coursera until December 20, 2025.

The project is designed to equip higher education students with modern, globally relevant knowledge by engaging top-ranking universities and industry partners from around the world.

The extension allows thousands of students to complete ongoing courses and obtain international certifications without any cost.

In an official notice, HEC urged learners to make full use of the remaining time by completing pending courses. The commission highlighted that the initiative aims to support students in upgrading their professional skills, improving career prospects and enhancing digital learning across the country.

Through the DLSEI project, learners have gained access to thousands of online courses, guided projects and professional certifications across fields such as technology, business, languages, data science and personal development.

Coursera, one of the world’s leading online learning platforms, hosts content from renowned institutions including Stanford, Michigan, Google and IBM, making the opportunity even more valuable for students seeking globally recognized credentials.

With the extended license validity, HEC has once again encouraged all learners to take full advantage of the initiative. Students have been advised to continue their coursework with consistency and dedication to ensure they complete their certifications before the deadline.
