Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has officially announced winter vacations for schools and colleges across the province. He made the announcement on his official social media accounts.
The minister confirmed that winter vacations will be observed from December 22 to January 10.

Previously, the minister had announced a major change in the examination timetable for matriculation and intermediate students. He stated that both matric and intermediate exams will now take place after Ramadan and Eid, marking a significant shift from the earlier schedule.
Under the updated plan, matric exams are expected to begin around March 24, while intermediate papers will follow afterward. The minister said the revised timetable aims to provide students with a more comfortable preparation period and avoid academic pressure during the holy month.
