The Pakistan U19 men’s cricket team departed for Dubai to take part in the Asia Cup 2025, scheduled in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from December 12 to 21.
Before their departure, the squad completed a seven-day training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre. During the camp, the young cricketers took part in practice matches and training sessions under the guidance of former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Sarfaraz, who has been appointed as the manager and mentor of the U19 national team, expressed confidence in the squad and backed them to deliver “strong performances” in the eight-team tournament.
He added that the team will hold a practice session in Dubai to adjust to the Gulf conditions ahead of the event.
“We have done our best and reminded the players that they are the finest young cricketers in Pakistan. Their strong performances earned them a place in the side, and we have given them complete backing and confidence,” Sarfaraz told PCB Digital before departure.
Pakistan, placed in Group A, will begin their Asia Cup 2025 campaign on December 12 against Malaysia at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
The team will then face India at the ICC Academy Ground on December 14, followed by their final group match against the UAE at the same venue on December 16.
