Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold went on sale in Korea yesterday and sold out quickly despite its high price of around $2,400 at current exchange rates. Alongside the launch, a new detail emerged: the cost of replacing the device’s inner folding screen.
In Korea, the lowest‑tier price for repairing the TriFold’s inner folding display is KRW 1,657,500, which is about $1,122. That makes it the most expensive Samsung smartphone screen replacement on record. This also makes the screen replacement nearly as expensive as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which launched at $1299.
Samsung’s Repair Discount
Samsung is offering buyers a one‑time 50% discount on screen repairs. The discount applies at a time when the inner screen replacement price stands out as particularly costly.
The TriFold’s cover display replacement is far cheaper by comparison. In Korea, it costs KRW 137,000, or about $92. The large gap between the two repair prices underlines how much more complex and expensive double‑folding screens are today.
