Dockcase has introduced an iPhone case concept called the Selfix. The case is designed for the iPhone 17 Pro series and adds a secondary display to the back of the phone.
Rear display and purpose
The Selfix case includes a circular 1.6‑inch AMOLED touch display on the rear with a 480 × 480‑pixel resolution.
Dockcase says the rear screen is meant to let users use the iPhone’s higher‑quality 48MP rear cameras for selfies and video recording.
The company says it can also enable ultrawide group selfies, which it says the front camera cannot match. The rear display also works as a framing preview before pressing the shutter.
Ports, controls, and storage expansion
In addition to the rear screen, the Selfix case includes a PD 3.0 USB‑C port that supports up to 100W input. It also has a dedicated Power Button to turn the rear display on or off.
The case also includes a microSD card slot with support for up to 2TB of storage. Dockcase says the microSD card can be used to store additional photos and videos in the iPhone library. When released, it is expected to be available in Blush Pink, Oat White, and Midnight Black.
App requirements and Availability
Dockcase claims the rear display offers a zero‑lag experience. The company also says the case does not require any separate app installation.
Pricing and availability have not been announced yet. Dockcase expects the Selfix case to go live on Kickstarter soon.
