Redmi has shared additional details about the upcoming global launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G, continuing a series of teasers released over the past few days. The company had earlier confirmed the phone’s 108MP main camera and a 5,520 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
Redmi has now revealed that the Note 15 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The chipset was quietly introduced in September and sits close to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in terms of overall positioning.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 features an octa-core CPU with four Cortex A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores running at up to 1.8GHz. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 710 GPU.
Redmi claims the chipset will deliver up to 48 months of lag-free performance. The company also states that the processor brings a 10% improvement in GPU performance and a 30% increase in CPU performance compared with the previous generation, although it has not specified which chipset is being used as the reference point.
Previous leaks suggest the Redmi Note 15 5G will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The device is expected to ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
On the camera side, the phone is tipped to include a 108MP main rear camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor. A 20MP front-facing camera is also expected for selfies and video calls.
