Islamabad Traffic Police has launched a Good Citizen Campaign to encourage motorists to follow traffic rules in the federal capital.
According to the City Traffic Police (CTP), officers will issue Good Citizen stickers to drivers who comply with traffic laws, including obeying speed limits, stopping at red lights, and wearing seat belts and helmets. Traffic police will display the stickers on vehicles to identify law abiding drivers.
CTP said the stickers carry QR codes that allow authorities to verify and recognize drivers who consistently follow traffic regulations.
The traffic police said the campaign also offers incentives to compliant motorists. Drivers who receive Good Citizen stickers will receive special facilities, including access to a dedicated counter at traffic police facilitation centers.
Officials will process their services on a priority basis to reduce waiting time.
CTP said the initiative aims to promote road discipline by rewarding responsible behavior and encouraging voluntary compliance with traffic rules. Officials said the campaign will help improve traffic flow and strengthen cooperation between motorists and traffic police in Islamabad.
