The Sindh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, approved funds for several sports, cultural and development initiatives across the province.
The cabinet approved financial support for sports events, including the IMC Over-40s T20 Cricket World Cup.
Funds were also sanctioned for SOS Children’s Village Tharparkar, the establishment of a project implementation unit under STEVTA, the creation of posts in newly established colleges, the purchase of vehicles for prisons, and cultural activities such as the 10th Literature Festival.
Among the major decisions, the cabinet approved Rs. 964.4 million for the purchase and operation of public transport buses and Rs. 5.84 billion for the procurement of arms and ammunition to strengthen the capacity of Sindh Police.
It also sanctioned Rs. 1 billion for the production of films, dramas, and documentaries aimed at public awareness.
In addition, the cabinet also approved a wide-ranging financial and development package covering wheat price relief, Thar coal connectivity, internal audit reforms, social protection, and the establishment of an IT Tower in the city.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, advisers, and special assistants, along with Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Agha Wasif, and other senior officials
