Saba Rashid, wife of Guinness World Record holder Rashid Naseem, has become Pakistan’s first martial arts athlete to set a Guinness World Record in the nunchaku category.
The record was confirmed by Guinness after she successfully performed a figure-of-eight movement with nunchaku 138 times in one minute, beating the earlier record of 120.
The achievement has been verified under a newly created category, with official confirmation received via email.
Saba Rashid had previously defeated India’s Kiran Uniyal, who holds the record for the most Guinness World Records in India.
In addition to her nunchaku accomplishment, Saba Rashid also holds a national record in the elbow strike category. She executed 680 elbow strikes in three minutes, again surpassing Kiran Uniyal.
This marks her second global record, further strengthening her standing as one of Pakistan’s leading martial arts athletes.
Saba Rashid said that if she receives government support and encouragement, she can set many more world records for Pakistan in the future, which would further raise the country’s name at the international level.
She comes from a family with a strong legacy of record-breaking achievements. Her husband, Rashid Naseem, is Pakistan’s most prolific Guinness World Record holder. Their daughter has set eight Guinness World Records in the female category, while their son achieved a Guinness World Record for Pakistan at the age of six.
Rashid Naseem’s father has also set multiple Guinness World Records for the country.
The family’s continued achievements highlight a growing legacy of martial arts excellence and international recognition for Pakistan.
