Australia ODI Tour of Pakistan Rescheduled

Australia’s One-Day International (ODI) tour of Pakistan, originally scheduled for mid-March 2026, has been shifted to a later window in June 2026 as both boards move to ease a crowded international calendar.

The three-match ODI leg, listed in the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) for 13–19 March 2026, will now be staged after the completion of PSL 11 and the 2026 Indian Premier League.

The adjustment was made to avoid a direct clash with the final stages of those T20 leagues and to ensure top players from both sides are fully available and better managed from a workload perspective.

Crucially, the series has not been dropped from the FTP; only its slot has changed. Revised dates are expected to be confirmed once the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) finalize the updated itinerary.

The T20I portion of Australia’s 2026 tour of Pakistan remains intact. A three-match T20I series from 30 January to 5 February 2026 is still on the cards and will serve as important preparation for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka later that year.

Earlier this month, a security delegation from CA arrived in Lahore to review arrangements for the T20I tour. The visiting officials inspected key venues and facilities at the Gaddafi Stadium as Lahore had been finalized to host all three T20Is.

Australia’s T20I squad is expected to land in Pakistan towards the end of next month for the three-match series. The PCB has also asked CA to consider expanding the T20I tour to five matches, a request that surfaced after Australia sought extended Big Bash League availability for Pakistani stars Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi during BBL 15.
