Redmi has expanded its global Note 15 lineup with the launch of five new models. Among them, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G arrive as incremental upgrades over last year’s devices, bringing larger batteries, updated displays, and refreshed chipsets.
Compared to the Chinese model, the international Redmi Note 15 Pro comes with some wins and losses, particularly in terms of camera resolution and battery capacity.
Design and Display
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G uses a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution of 2,772 x 1,280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Note 15 Pro comes with a slightly smaller 6.77-inch AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution at 2,392 x 1,080 pixels, also with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Both panels support 12-bit color depth and reach up to 3,200 nits of peak local brightness. Touch sampling differs between the two, with the Note 15 Pro 5G offering a 480Hz rate, while the Note 15 Pro is limited to 240Hz, which should hardly be noticeable to the naked eye.
Durability has also been improved. The Redmi Note 15 Pro now carries an IP65 rating, up from IP64 on its predecessor. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G steps up further with IP68 and IP69K certifications, improving on last year’s IP68 protection.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro is available in Titanium, Glacier Blue, and Black color options. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G comes in Titanium, Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Black.
Internals and Software
Redmi has equipped both phones with updated MediaTek processors. The Redmi Note 15 Pro runs on the Helio G200 Ultra, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7400 Ultra. Both chipsets bring modest CPU clock increases and improved neural processing capabilities.
Memory and storage options remain generous, with configurations available in 8GB or 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
On the software side, both devices ship with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Xiaomi’s AI features are included, such as AI Erase Pro, AI Remove Reflection, AI Image Expansion, and AI Image Enhancement.
Cameras
Camera hardware remains largely unchanged. Both models use a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE main camera. The ultrawide camera differs slightly, with the Note 15 Pro 5G using an 8MP OV08F10 sensor, while the Note 15 Pro features an 8MP GC08A8 unit.
The Chinese model has a lower resolution 50MP main sensor, but the 20MP selfie camera is identical.
Selfie cameras vary between the international 4G and 5G models. The Redmi Note 15 Pro includes a 32MP OV32D40 front-facing camera, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G uses a 20MP OV20B sensor.
Battery and Pricing
Battery capacity has increased across the lineup. The Redmi Note 15 Pro packs a 6,500 mAh battery with 45W wired charging. The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G goes slightly larger with a 6,580 mAh silicon-carbon battery, slighty smaller then the 7000 mAh in the Chinese model, also supporting 45W wired charging.
Reverse wired charging is now supported on both models. The Note 15 Pro can deliver up to 18W, while the Note 15 Pro 5G supports faster 22.5W reverse charging
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model for the 4G model is priced at $466, while the 8GB RAM and 512GB storage version costs $533. The 5G variant pricing starts at $333 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
