The global Redmi Note 15 series has officially launched, with Xiaomi once again offering two versions of its base model. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 15 5G and the more affordable Redmi Note 15 4G, which is exclusive to the international market.
Both phones share the same design, making them difficult to tell apart at first glance. They feature identical displays, backs, and camera layouts, but have slight changes from their Chinese counterparts, including the price.
The global 5G model has higher resolution cameras, but slightly less battery capacity than the Chinese variant.
Design and Display
Both global variants come with a curved 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The 4G model comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, while the 5G version offers higher IP66 protection.
Internals and Software
The Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and is available with 6GB, 8GB, or 12GB of RAM. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The 4G model uses MediaTek’s Helio G100-Ultra chipset and comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, with the same storage options.
For software, these phones bring Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 on top.
Cameras
Both phones feature a 108MP main camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL HM9 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The 5G model adds an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while the 4G variant includes a 2MP depth sensor. Both devices also offer a 20MP front-facing camera.
This puts the global model ahead of its Chinese cousin, which has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP selfie shooter.
Battery and Pricing
In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 15 4G has a larger 6,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support. The Redmi Note 15 5G includes a slightly smaller 5,520 mAh silicon-carbon battery but supports faster 45W charging. The Chinese variant comes with a 5,800 mAh battery instead.
The Redmi Note 15 is available in Glacier Blue, Purple, Forest Green, and Black, with prices starting at $268 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The Redmi Note 15 5G comes in Glacier Blue, Mist Purple, and Black. Pricing starts at $327 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model.
Note that these are European prices, which are always higher than Pakistani prices, meaning we can expect the phone to be a lot cheaper in the local market, especially if it is locally assembled.
