The Punjab government has approved a special monthly allowance for employees of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) Force to strengthen enforcement against encroachments and price violations.
According to an official notification issued after the approval of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Grade 20 officers will receive a monthly allowance of Rs150,000, Grade 19 officers Rs125,000, and Grade 18 officers Rs100,000.
Grade 17 officers will be paid Rs75,000, while employees from Grade 16 to Grade 7 will receive allowances ranging between Rs20,000 and Rs50,000.
The notification clarified that the special allowance will not apply to officers belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), and Provincial Management Service (PMS).
PERA was established to curb encroachments and ensure effective price control across Punjab. The authority will finance the allowance from its existing budget allocation.
Officials said the decision aims to enhance PERA’s operational efficiency and strengthen its capacity to enforce regulations across the province.
