A Chinese woman died after reportedly jumping from the roof of a residential building in Islamabad’s G‑8 sector, police said on Wednesday.
According to police sources, the woman, identified as Wan Rou Ping, fell from the rooftop and suffered fatal head injuries. Officials said she was visiting Pakistan on a tourist visa at the time of the incident.
Police moved her body to a nearby hospital and launched further inquiries to confirm the circumstances surrounding the fall. Authorities have not yet ruled out any angle in the case.
In a separate incident earlier this year, another tragic case unfolded in Islamabad when a young Afghan refugee girl died by suicide after jumping from the fifth floor of her building.
