The Islamabad district administration has taken action against a private mart located in Centaurus Mall over the sale of overpriced fruits, vegetables and sugar, along with expired milk, according to a statement issued by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon.
The action was carried out by the Assistant Commissioner of the Industrial Area, who conducted an inspection at the private mart and identified multiple violations related to overpricing and the sale of expired food items.
During the operation, two individuals were taken into custody and shifted to the local lock-up.

The deputy commissioner stated that the action was taken on his directives and added that operations against violations of price control laws and food safety regulations are continuing without discrimination across the federal capital.
