Islamabad Assan Khidmat Markaz Set to Open Soon

A new one-window public service facility, Assan Khidmat Markaz, is nearing completion in Islamabad and is expected to be inaugurated soon.

The facility has been established in the former Public Welfare Department (PWD) building located in the Mauve Area of Sector G-9.

Under the plan, the center will offer hundreds of public services under one roof, including the Capital Development Authority’s one-window operations, services of the Islamabad administration, and likely passport services.

The PWD building has undergone a complete renovation, featuring a new exterior to support one-window operations. Capital Development Authority carried out the project as a deposit work.

The Chairman of Capital Development (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with an engineering member, visited the under-construction Assan Khidmat Markaz to review construction progress.

Officials informed him that construction of the main building is complete, while finishing and renovation work is in its final phase. Landscaping and horticulture work have also been completed.

Expressing satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, Mr Randhawa directed that the facility be handed over to the Ministry of IT and relevant departments upon completion.

He further instructed that the remaining work be completed immediately so the centre can be opened to the public.

He said the Assan Khidmat Markaz will provide hundreds of services from multiple departments under one roof and confirmed that all services currently offered at CDA’s one-window facilitation centre will also be available at the new facility.
