The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has released the first selection list for MBBS admissions in private medical colleges across Punjab, setting the lowest closing merit at 75.9465 percent.
According to UHS, Al Aleem Medical College, Lahore topped the list with a closing merit of 92.7136 percent, followed by Sharif Medical and Dental College at 91.6586 percent, Shalamar Medical and Dental College at 90.6364 percent, and FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry at 90.1348 percent.
Several other Lahore- and Rawalpindi-based colleges recorded closing merits in the high 80s and low 80s range.
Medical colleges in Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lodhran, Narowal, and Kasur also appeared in the first list, with Queens Medical College for Women, Kasur closing at the lowest merit of 75.9465 percent.
UHS officials said 4,350 MBBS seats are available in 33 private medical colleges across the province. Selected candidates must download the initial admission fee challan of Rs. 600,000 from the UHS admission portal and pay it by December 30.
Candidates can use the same online portal to submit their consent either for upgradation or to retain their current allocation. Applicants seeking upgradation must complete online joining by uploading the paid fee receipt.
Candidates admitted to their first-choice college and opting to stay must submit written joining at their respective institutions and pay the remaining admission fee by December 30.
UHS has made the selection list and detailed admission instructions available on its official website. The second selection list will be issued on January 1, according to a UHS spokesperson.
