Railway Police Recover and Return Millions Left Behind on Train

The Pakistan Railways Police once again demonstrated honesty and professionalism by safely returning a large sum of money to a passenger.

On Friday, passenger Mohsin Mushtaq was traveling from Karachi to Toba Tek Singh on the Pakistan Express.

He briefly got off the train at Hyderabad Railway Station for personal work, but the train departed before he could return. As a result, his luggage, containing about Rs 3.8 million in cash, was left on the train.

While on duty, Constable Rao Sharif found the unattended bag on the moving train and immediately took it into custody.

Meanwhile, Mohsin Mushtaq reported the incident at a police station, where he was informed that his bag had been recovered by the railway police.

Following timely instructions from the SHO, Constable Rao Sharif continued traveling with Pakistan Express to Rohri Railway Station, while the passenger reached Rohri via Karakoram Express.

At the Rohri Help Center, in the presence of a Sub-Inspector, the passenger identified his luggage. After a complete count and verification, the Rs. 3.8 million was returned to him.

The passenger praised the honesty and professional conduct of the railway police and released a video message expressing his gratitude.
