Stray Dogs Dig Up Newborn Grave and Spark Panic

A horrifying incident was reported from Okara where a pack of stray dogs dug up the grave of a newborn baby and pulled the body out at a local graveyard, 24News reported on Saturday.

The incident occurred at Galala Wala graveyard in the Hujra Shah Muqeem area of Okara. A few hours after the burial, stray dogs dug up the grave and began scratching the baby’s body.

The incident caused panic and fear among residents of the area after the baby’s body was seen again.

Locals demanded that the district administration take immediate action against stray dogs, saying the animals have become a serious threat in the area.

In a separate incident, stray dogs badly mauled a three-year-old child in a private housing society in Pattoki.

According to details, the child was rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in critical condition and was later referred to Lahore for further treatment. The child sustained severe injuries to the head, backbone, and face.

Following the incident, the Assistant Commissioner of Pattoki visited the affected family. The family told him that despite repeated complaints, the security guard failed to respond or act.

The family later submitted a written application to the local police station, after which the process to register a first information report (FIR) against the security guard was initiated.
