The post has fueled hopes among supporters that Sialkot could be selected as one of the new PSL cities, potentially bringing the legendary Sialkot Stallions brand into the league for the first time.

The Sialkot Stallions were a dominant force in Pakistan’s domestic T20 circuit. Founded in 2004, the team was based in Sialkot, Punjab, and played its home matches at Jinnah Stadium.

Under the coaching of Azmat Rana, the Stallions enjoyed an unprecedented era of success, winning five consecutive National T20 Cup titles from the 2005-06 season through 2009-10.

The team also holds a world record for the longest winning streak in top-level domestic T20 cricket, registering 25 straight victories during their golden run.

Their sustained dominance made them one of the most celebrated franchises in Pakistan’s cricket history, and their potential revival has struck a nostalgic chord with fans.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that 10 bidders have qualified for the upcoming franchise auction, which will take place on Thursday, January 8, at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.

At the auction, franchise rights for two new PSL teams will be offered. Successful bidders will be allowed to select team names from a list of approved cities, which includes Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Sialkot.
