Rawalpindi to Get Landmark Monuments at Major Interchanges

Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Kinza Murtaza inspected the Mumtaz City Interchange near New Islamabad International Airport and the check post at Peshawar Mor to review ongoing development work in the city.

During the visit, she directed the RDA Engineering Directorate to construct monuments at major interchanges and roads, including Mumtaz City Interchange, Top City Interchange, Chour Chowk, and Old Airport Road.

She instructed that the monuments should meet high construction standards and serve as prominent landmarks at key entry and exit points of Rawalpindi.

The director general said the projects aim to improve the city’s appearance and directed officers to ensure work is completed according to approved specifications and timelines.

She also stressed that public convenience and safety must remain a priority during development activities. She added that the RDA would continue monitoring the projects to maintain quality control and ensure timely completion.

RDA officials accompanying the director general briefed her on the progress of the projects during the inspection.
