Pakistan to Host National AI Conference in Early 2026

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has announced plans to organise a national Artificial Intelligence (AI) conference in early 2026 to strengthen Pakistan’s AI ecosystem and promote the adoption of emerging technologies across key sectors.

According to officials, the conference will bring together local and international startups, technology companies, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts. The aim is to discuss developments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and related fields, while providing a platform for knowledge sharing and policy-level dialogue on AI-driven innovation.

The ministry said the conference will focus on the role of AI in economic growth, digital transformation, and public service delivery. Key sessions are expected to cover the use of AI in healthcare, education, agriculture, fintech, e-governance, and cybersecurity. Discussions on the ethical use of AI and data governance are also planned.

Startups and technology companies will have opportunities to showcase AI-based products, solutions, and research. Investors and industry leaders are expected to explore collaboration and investment opportunities. The event is also expected to highlight challenges faced by local startups, particularly in scaling AI solutions and accessing global markets.

Officials added that the conference aligns with the government’s broader digital policy framework aimed at promoting innovation, developing skilled human resources, and encouraging the responsible use of artificial intelligence in Pakistan. Further details on the dates, venue, and participation will be announced closer to the event.
