Dubai Police have issued a public warning urging people to remain vigilant against fake work visa schemes and visa fraud.
In a statement, the Anti-Fraud Center of Dubai Police’s Criminal Investigation Department said that individuals are being deceived through fraudulent “visa offers,” where scammers collect money using false promises of employment and visa sponsorship.
Dubai Police cautioned the public against individuals and groups offering fake visa sponsorships and guaranteed work visas. Authorities said many fraudsters are currently exploiting job seekers by demanding money in exchange for employment opportunities that have no legal basis.
Police stressed that employment in Dubai can only be obtained through official government channels or legally licensed recruitment agencies. Any offers made through unofficial or illegal means should be treated with suspicion.
Dubai Police also warned specifically against people advertising “guaranteed visas” or using non-legal methods, stating that such offers are a common tactic used in visa fraud cases.
The authorities advised anyone who becomes a victim of a fake visa scheme to immediately contact Dubai Police and report the incident. They also urged the public to report any suspicious visa offers seen online to prevent others from falling victim to similar scams.
Dubai Police further emphasized that before making any payment related to a visa offer, individuals must verify the information with relevant government authorities to avoid financial loss and fraud.
