Not all sectors participated in the advance, however. Pakistan State Oil’s energy subsidiary PSEL slumped 5.52%, while Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Engro Fertilizers (EFERT) slipped 1.15% and 1.05%, respectively.
In the technology and telecom space, AIRLINK rallied 6.62% after the government unveiled the Mobile and Electronic Devices Manufacturing Policy 2026-33. A major milestone was recorded in the banking sector as UBL became the largest listed company on the Pakistan Stock Exchange by market capitalization during the session. With its market value crossing approximately $4.6 billion, UBL overtook oil and gas giant OGDC, signaling a notable shift in market leadership from energy to financials.
