Punjab to Launch Electric Buses in Five More Cities

The Punjab government has announced plans to expand its electric bus network by introducing the service in additional cities.

An official notice issued by the company states that the electric buses will be launched soon under the provincial government’s transport initiatives. The announcement lists Rajanpur, Gujar Khan, Bahawalpur, Toba Tek Singh, and Rahim Yar Khan among the cities where the service will be rolled out.

According to the notice, the electric buses will feature facilities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and accessibility support for passengers with disabilities. The service is presented as an eco-friendly public transport option.

The announcement was shared by the Punjab Transport Company under its public transport program. No specific timeline, routes, or fare details have been disclosed so far.
