Sri Lanka Cricket has unveiled its squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Pakistan, set to be played in Dambulla this week.
Dasun Shanaka will lead the side as captain, with a mix of experienced campaigners and young talent named for the home assignment.

| Charith Asalanka | Dhananjaya de Silva | Kusal Mendis |
| Janith Liyanage | Kamindu Mendis | Wanindu Hasaranga |

However, weather conditions have emerged as a concern ahead of the series. Heavy rain has lashed Dambulla over the past 24 hours, creating uncertainty around match preparations.
Forecasts indicate that the wet spell may continue, with more downpours expected in the coming days. This raises the possibility of delays or interruptions at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, where the matches are scheduled to take place.
The three T20Is are set for January 7, 9, and 11.
Pakistan have already arrived in Sri Lanka ahead of the contest. Team captain Salman Ali Agha is scheduled to address the media today at 4:00 pm local time, while the national side will hold a training session later at 8:00 pm.
Beyond the immediate contest, the series is a tester for both teams as look to get their squad ready for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The global event will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
