Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb on Wednesday met a high-level business delegation from the Sajwani Group to discuss potential cooperation in areas including blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure.
Officials noted that the government is evaluating compliant blockchain infrastructure for sovereign and real-world assets as part of efforts to deepen capital markets and attract international investment.
The delegation was led by Syed Zeeshan Shah, Chairman of One Group. Discussions focused on global trends such as tokenisation of real-world assets, AI-driven financial solutions, and blockchain-based platforms, and how these technologies could support Pakistan’s ongoing reforms.
Members of the visiting delegation expressed interest in partnering with the Government of Pakistan and offered technical expertise, advisory support, and capacity building. They said private sector innovation and global best practices could help improve transparency, efficiency, investor access, and financial inclusion, while remaining within Pakistan’s legal and regulatory framework.
The finance minister welcomed the delegation’s interest and said Pakistan was committed to responsible innovation, strong governance, and regulatory compliance. He added that any future collaboration would be guided by national priorities, transparency, and applicable laws and policies.
The delegation included representatives from DAMAC Group, Prypco, and One Homes, who shared insights on tokenisation, digital platforms, and modern financial infrastructure.
