The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has formed a high-level inquiry committee to investigate allegations of unlawful mark increases for 34 students in the HSSC 2024 examination results.
According to 24NewsHD, the move follows directives from the Balochistan High Court (BHC), which ordered a comprehensive review after complaints of irregularities in the board’s examination process.
BBISE Chairman Muhammad Ishaq issued a formal notification confirming the committee’s formation.
The inquiry will also examine FIR No. 12/Q/2025 registered with the Balochistan Anti-Corruption Department, which alleges misconduct in the awarding of marks in the HSSC 2024 results.
As per the notification, BBISE Secretary Zia ur Rehman will head the committee, while Deputy Secretaries Muhammad Shafi and Muhammad Haroon will serve as members.
The committee will issue notices to all 34 students, requiring them to appear for personal hearings and present original educational documents along with two attested copies.
After completing the investigation, the committee will submit its findings and recommendations to the board chairman. Any further legal or administrative action will be taken under the BBISE Act 2019.
