OZ Developers has shared early details about how it plans to name its newly acquired Pakistan Super League franchise from Sialkot.
Speaking after securing ownership of PSL Team 8, the owner of OZ Developers said the group will rely on professional expertise for the team’s branding. This process will include finalizing the franchise name, logo, and overall identity.
The owner explained that branding decisions will not be made internally. Instead, experienced professionals will be hired to ensure the team’s name reflects both Sialkot’s cricketing heritage and the league’s modern image.
The franchise was awarded to OZ Developers after the company made a winning bid of Rs. 185 crore, surpassing the base price of Rs. 170 crore. The team will represent Sialkot, a city with a long-standing association with Pakistan cricket.
League officials have already confirmed Sialkot as one of the two new host cities, alongside Hyderabad, as part of the PSL’s latest expansion phase.
Further details, including the official team name and branding rollout, are expected to be announced at a later stage as preparations continue for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League.
