Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that Pakistani police officers will be sent to China for advanced professional training.
According to ARY News, the interior minister visited the Beijing Police College, where he inspected high-tech training sections and observed a live demonstration of suspect arrests using police vehicles.
He praised the professional skills and operational efficiency of the Beijing Police force.
Mohsin Naqvi said he was impressed by the capabilities and training standards of the vehicle squad.
He announced that an agreement would be signed between the National Police Academy of Pakistan and the Beijing Police College to enhance bilateral cooperation.
Under the agreement, Pakistani police officers will receive training aligned with modern policing requirements. All ASP-rank officers from the National Police Academy will attend a one-month training program in Beijing.
During the visit, the interior minister also tested an advanced driving simulator. The president of the Beijing Police College briefed him on the use of high-tech training systems, artificial intelligence, and technology-based methods for handling protests, violence, and crime.
Officials said the college provides technology-driven academic and practical training, including AI-based policing modules.
The institution has 12 faculties, more than 400 instructors, and nearly 50 percent of its faculty members hold PhD degrees.
