The Punjab Teachers’ Union has demanded an additional 10 days of holidays for primary school students in view of the severe cold weather.
According to the union, granting extra holidays would be a necessary step to protect children’s health. General Secretary Rana Liaquat Ali said that extreme cold increases the risk of illnesses such as pneumonia among young children.
He stressed that the government should prioritize children’s health and make an immediate decision by considering the prevailing weather conditions to prevent health risks, along with educational disruption.
Asking for extension in winter vacations is being dishonest to nurturing of students…. Adequate measures be taken to protect instead of extending vacations… Do we not know that these children get themselves to extreme weather once they are on vacations… Feel pity on such destructive mindset,😡
The health is whelth. Health nahi to khuch bhi nahi. Phala bachoon ki health ko priority Deni Chaya.
Today’s children don’t have strong immune system as we had in past .so such extreme weather is unbearable for today’s children.so just focus on their health instead of learning.

Not every child afford Murree and swat..all concerned should offer govt that before announcement of Winter vacations first check the weather update

Young children are more prone to cold and catch cold easily, they must stay home atleast for more 15 days.
Yes holidays should be extended for our students health.
Schools don’t possess electric or gas heaters. Rides don’t have heating system. Pakistan faves shortage of gas. How could school be able to provide heating to innocent kids
? Will school owner pay or install heating system in class rooms? Government schools, colleges don’t have heaters. Will private school provide this to heavily paying kids? Only college staff room and principal office has luxurious heaters, as those old and inefficient Ladies need more heating I stayed to take classes? Rubbish thinking of our citizens. That’s why we are winning each platform like our cricket team.

At least primary classes children upto 5th, should be spared for one week more to avoid harsh weather conditions. Heavens will not fall!!!
In my opinion rather than giving extension in winter vacation timings should be shifted to much manageable 10am to 2pm. That way most area’s would have adequate sunlight. Children can be prevented from early morning cold.
Teachers demand extension hilarious because we (teachers) are going to school for TDP while children are going to Murree and Sawat to enjoy the weather.
To open the schools in such a killing cold is beyond senses.. the governing body should reconsider the timeframe of winter vacations. Should be started from 1st Jan.
Anyhow,the present intense wave of cold will not let the classes to resume. If the schools are opened 12 of Jan,the children may sick,not but but definitely.. be careful.

There are no precautions for extreme heat or cold in schools.no doubt study is important but in such type of extreme weather,it is much difficult for parents and students to reach in school in extreme foggy and chilly weather.Extension of holidays till 19 Jan would be a wise decision.

Second years class tak college closed hone chahe aur online class honi chahiye 👍 because parents have no extra money to spend on ill children specially for middle class families aur agar college ja k bacha bimar hota hai tu government ko he is k medical expenses hotane jahe

Still same old system prevailing in Pakistan…Winter vacation given during December in Karachi whereas real winter colds starts in January due to climate changes….Instead of giving vaction in December it should start after one week of January
Beaconhouse Sialkot is still forcing teachers to take online classes from It’s campus by forcing them to come school they don’t care their teachers health and force them to come to school.
University students also deserve vacation due to 6 degree. They also feel cold. Kindly also announce vacations for university students.
