The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has revised school timings in the province’s plain areas due to an ongoing severe cold spell.
According to a notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, the revised timings will take effect from January 16, following the winter vacations.
Under the new schedule, all primary schools in the plain areas will operate from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Middle high and higher secondary schools will function from 9:00 am to 2:20 pm.
The education department said the decision aims to protect students from the harsh weather conditions prevailing in the region.
