Island Near Karachi to be Transformed into Tourist Destination

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry on Wednesday announced plans to develop Ziarat Hassan Shah Island, located off the coast of Karachi, into a modern and eco-friendly tourist destination, reported 24NewsHD.

The minister said the government expects to spend over Rs1 billion on the project, which is also likely to attract billions of rupees in private investment.

He added that the island will be connected to Karachi’s District East by road, improving accessibility.

Chaudhry said the project aims to generate employment opportunities and boost the local economy while ensuring the protection of the coastal environment.

“The development of Ziarat Hassan Shah Island will set a new benchmark for the blue economy in Pakistan,” the minister said.
