Parent-Teacher Meetings Made Mandatory in Punjab Colleges

Parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) have been made mandatory in all public sector colleges across Punjab to improve students academic performance.

According to instructions issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction (Colleges) Punjab, all government colleges must begin holding PTMs from January 22.

During these meetings, students’ academic performance will be reviewed, and plans will be developed to further improve learning outcomes.

Parents will be informed about the results of the December tests and the overall performance of their children. Students who secured top positions will also be awarded certificates.

College principals have been directed to actively encourage and recognize these position holders.

Colleges are required to submit a photographic report of the PTM to the DPI Colleges office. Attendance at the meetings by directors, deputy directors, and designated focal persons is also mandatory.

A formal notification regarding these instructions has already been issued by DPI Colleges Punjab.
