Videos showing female students participating in a modeling segment during a welcome party at the University of Peshawar have circulated widely on social media, triggering concerns over the nature of the event.
According to details, the incident took place on January 15 at the University Public School Auditorium during the university’s annual welcome function for students.

Following the public reaction, the university administration has set up a fact-finding committee to examine the matter in detail.
The committee will be headed by Professor Dr. Anoush Khan and includes five additional members assigned to review the incident and related arrangements.
University officials have instructed the committee to submit its findings and recommendations to the competent authority within three days. The administration will then determine the next steps.
The university said it will take appropriate action based on the committee’s report to maintain discipline and ensure that institutional standards are upheld.
