Honor has officially introduced the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design, expanding its Magic8 series. The new model launches alongside the Magic8 Pro Air and joins the Magic8 Pro and Magic8, which were unveiled in October last year.
The RSR Porsche Design edition continues Honor’s partnership with Porsche Design, combining high-end specifications with a distinctive design inspired by automotive styling.
The Magic8 RSR Porsche Design carries a design language influenced by Porsche supercars. It features a nano-ceramic rear panel, which Honor claims achieves a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5. The company also said the device is 10 percent lighter than its predecessor.
The rear camera housing draws inspiration from the matrix headlight design seen on classic Porsche models, giving the phone a unique visual identity.
On the front, the phone sports a 6.71-inch quad-curved LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel delivers up to 6,000 nits of peak HDR brightness and supports Dolby Vision. High-frequency 4,320Hz PWM dimming is included for flicker control, while Giant Rhino Glass protects the display. The phone is available in Moonstone and Slate Gray color options.
Powering the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone is offered with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device runs Magic UI 10.0 based on Android 16 and includes a range of built-in AI features.
Additional features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, and IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. The device weighs 239 grams and measures 8.45mm in thickness.
The smartphone features a triple rear camera system. The main camera uses a 50MP 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization.
For wide-angle photography, the device includes a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree field of view and macro support. Zoom capabilities are handled by a 200MP 1/1.4-inch telephoto sensor with an f/2.6 aperture, optical image stabilization, and 3.7x optical zoom.
Honor said the Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is the first phone to achieve a CIPA 6.5 rating for image stabilization. The camera system also includes the AiMAGE color engine and supports an external 200mm telephoto lens developed by Nox.
On the front, the phone houses a 50MP selfie camera within a pill-shaped cutout. This module also includes a 3D depth camera for face unlock functionality.
The Magic8 RSR Porsche Design is equipped with a 7,200mAh battery. It supports 120W wired SuperCharge and 80W wireless charging.
Pricing in China starts at $1,150 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. The top-end configuration with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at $1,290.
