Customs Seizes Goods Worth Rs. 170 Million in 3 Anti-Smuggling Operations

Pakistan Customs Enforcement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has seized smuggled goods and offending vehicles worth Rs. 170 million in three separate anti-smuggling operations, officials said on Wednesday.

The operations were carried out by Anti-Smuggling Detachments (ASDs) in Nowshera, Dera Ismail Khan, and Hazara, targeting smuggling, illicit trade, and narcotics trafficking.

The seized items included foreign-origin charas, cashew nuts, black pepper, cigarettes, miscellaneous smuggled goods, and an NDP Toyota Hilux Surf.

Officials said the seizures dealt a significant blow to smuggling networks operating in the region. Legal proceedings have been initiated in accordance with applicable laws.

Pakistan Customs, under the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), reiterated its commitment to curbing smuggling and illicit trade to protect the national economy.
