Pakistani-American lawyer Zunaira Tariq has been appointed Operations Leader Mobility at TikTok headquarters in the United States.
In her new role, Tariq is responsible for overseeing the company’s global talent mobility and immigration strategy across key international markets. Her work supports TikTok’s international growth by managing complex relocation and workforce mobility initiatives.
She played a central role in TikTok’s expansion across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, helping facilitate the company’s rapid growth in the region.
Tariq brings extensive experience in international law, public policy, and global mobility leadership. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and later completed her Master of Laws at the University of Washington School of Law in the United States.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Mobility and Immigration Consultant at Microsoft headquarters in Seattle, where she managed global talent mobility programs for the company.
In Pakistan, Tariq has also served in key public sector roles. She worked on major initiatives within the Ministry of Interior and served as legal counsel for the Benazir Income Support Programme, one of the country’s largest social protection programs.
Zunaira Tariq is the granddaughter of former Punjab governor Chaudhry Altaf. She made history as the first woman to serve as Adviser to the Director-General of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO). In that role, she managed a major international expansion project in the United Arab Emirates.
