LG’s New AI Air Conditioner is Smarter Than Most ACs You’ve Seen

LG Electronics has officially launched its 2026 LG Whisen Objet Collection Tower I and LG Whisen Objet Collection View I Pro air conditioners. The new lineup introduces a proprietary cooling system called AI Cold Free, designed to regulate both temperature and humidity automatically.

AI Cold Free Cooling System

LG said the AI Cold Free system addresses a common drawback of traditional air conditioners. Conventional systems reduce humidity by lowering air temperature, which can make rooms feel excessively cold.

The new system uses a two-stage heat exchanger. In the first stage, moisture is removed from the air. In the second stage, the air is reheated to maintain a stable, user-set temperature. This process delivers dry, cool air without the sharp chill associated with standard dehumidification.

Adaptive Airflow and AI Features

LG has also enhanced its AI Airflow system. Radar sensors detect user location and surrounding conditions to adjust airflow strength and direction. When the room temperature is high, the system delivers strong airflow. As conditions stabilize, it shifts to gentler or targeted airflow to maintain comfort while improving energy efficiency.

The new models include AI Voice Recognition powered by a GPT-based engine. Users can issue natural language commands, check usage information, and receive mode recommendations based on room conditions.

An AI Sleep mode learns user sleep patterns and adjusts cooling behavior to reduce disruptions during rest.

Cleaning, Energy, and Display Upgrades

The air conditioners integrate several cleanliness and energy management features. These include a Filter Clean Bot that removes dust from the fine filter every week and AI Heat Exchanger Cleaning, which triggers automatic cleaning based on environmental data.

Additional modes include Away Energy Saving and Pet Care. The display panel has also been upgraded, increasing in size from 4.3 inches to 6.8 inches and showing temperature, humidity, and dehumidification status.

Pricing and Availability

The Whisen Objet Collection Tower I and View I Pro models will begin rolling out on January 22. Prices range from $2,856 to $4,060, depending on configuration.
