The Deepal S05 REEV, Pakistan’s first locally assembled premium Range-Extended Electric SUV, has officially entered its delivery phase following its debut at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025 on 14th November 2025.
Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) has successfully commenced production of the Deepal S05 at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Karachi, completing the entire journey from advanced equipment installation to final product rollout in less than 90 days. Equipped with advanced robotics and next-generation manufacturing processes, the new production line reflects MCML’s commitment to delivering globally advanced electric mobility solutions, produced locally with precision, quality, and reliability.
As Pakistan’s first locally assembled (CKD) Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), the Deepal S05 has already disrupted the highly competitive C-SUV segment. It has rapidly emerged as a preferred choice among customers, outperforming other newly launched NEVs by offering a rare combination of premium comfort, cutting-edge technology, and an unmatched electric driving experience tailored to local conditions.
Built on Changan’s dedicated EPA1 pure electric platform, the Deepal S05 delivers a combined driving range of over 1,000 km, effectively replacing traditional range anxiety with what Deepal calls “Range Confidence”, a first for Pakistani consumers. The advanced platform enables segment-leading cabin space, supported by the longest wheelbase in its category, while its rigid structure is optimized for safety, ride comfort, and long-term durability.
Unlike conventional HEVs and PHEVs, the Deepal S05 REEV delivers a true all-time electric drive experience. Even when the range-extender system is active, the wheels remain electrically driven, as the onboard Range Extender functions solely as a generator. This ensures smoother, quieter, and more refined performance, improved efficiency, reduced mechanical wear, and lower long-term running costs. Even without the Range Extender kicking in, the 27.28 kWh Golden Shield Battery delivers up to 170 km of electric driving range, the longest among all non-BEV electric vehicles available in Pakistan.
Further elevating the ownership experience, the Deepal S05 features Zero-Gravity co-pilot seating and more than 20 Level-2 intelligent ADAS functions, including Remote Straight-In & Out Parking (RSIO), bringing premium, intelligent mobility features to the mass market.
Structurally, the Deepal S05 employs a hybrid aluminium-steel chassis, with aluminium strategically integrated to reduce weight while enhancing stability, strength, and overall rigidity. The body is assembled using Pakistan’s first advanced robotic riveting and precision-controlled processes, achieving an impressive torsional stiffness of 35,000 Nm/degree, ensuring superior safety and driving confidence.
The response from customers has been positive. Test-drive demand and early bookings have translated into strong market momentum, with the Deepal S05 already fully booked until April 2026.

If it was priced 9M, it would have been a greater deal beating MG HS PHEV, Jolion Hev and crushing Toyota Cross HEV.
The car should have 2nd row seats as 0 gravity seats. This is necessary for those who travel with drivers long distances. May be you should have 2+2 seats on demand to be the first company to customize your product. Road clearance should be appx 7 to 8 inches,easy for heavy/old passengers to get out of car.

It’s not manufacturing. It’s assembling with most of components imported from China. PK simply does not have the capability to produce all the components.
The government levies duties and taxes on CBU vehicles to protect the assemblers. Similarly duties and taxes are applied on locally assembled vehicles.

Zero technical details shared. A lot of hyphenated English story with no substance. What is its speed, acceleration, recharge time, battery life, warranty etc. However, price has been clearly mentioned with 3 days to go deadline. It’s a iron cage for trapping investors.
