Pakistan Post Digitalization Completion Date Announced

Pakistan Post is set to become fully digital by January 2027 under a major reform initiative aimed at modernizing postal services nationwide and aligning them with international standards.

According to reports, the Ministry of Communications has launched the Automation of Post Office Project, which is being financed by the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

The initiative is intended to replace Pakistan Post’s largely manual operations with a fully digital and integrated system.

The project includes the supply of modern IT terminals and specialized software, along with comprehensive training for postal staff and ongoing operational and maintenance support.

Once completed, it is expected to deliver end-to-end digitalization across Pakistan Post’s entire network.

The digital overhaul will significantly strengthen key functions such as mail management, financial services, parcel tracking, and internal administration. The new system will allow real-time processing, improve service efficiency, and increase transparency across the postal network.

The transformation is also expected to reduce service delays and minimize manual errors by replacing outdated paper-based procedures with automated workflows.

Under the project, all post offices across the country will be equipped with modern IT infrastructure, including computer terminals, secure connectivity, and centralized systems to support real-time data sharing and transaction processing.
