A severe water shortage in Murree has caused serious hardship for residents, as the city’s water supply has remained completely suspended for several days in multiple areas.
According to the local residents, several inner-city areas, including Siddiq Chowk, Lower Bazaar, Lower Jhika Gali Road, Old Atta Mandi, and nearby localities, have been without water, leading to growing distress.
The situation has become especially difficult due to intense cold and sub-zero temperatures. Residents report having no water for essential daily needs such as drinking, household use, and ablution, which has added to their suffering.
Residents have also complained that officials from the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) have remained unresponsive despite repeated concerns raised by the affected communities.
