Sindh Launches Helpline for Teachers

The Sindh government on Friday launched the Sindh Teachers’ Helpline to strengthen professional support, accountability, and grievance redressal for teachers across the province.

The initiative was introduced by the School Education and Literacy Department on the directives of Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah.

The helpline will serve teachers from both public and private schools, providing them with a dedicated platform to lodge complaints, share suggestions, and seek professional guidance.

According to officials, the helpline was established following decisions taken during the 18th meeting of the Board of Governors of the Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA).

In its initial phase, the helpline will operate every Wednesday from 12 pm to 2 pm. Teachers can contact the service by calling 0315-1464945.

Complaints and issues will be directly handled by a redressal committee comprising MPA Tanzila Umm-e-Habiba and Additional Director DGIRPI Rafia Javed Mallah.

Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah said the initiative aims to ensure teachers’ voices are included in policymaking and to provide timely solutions to their issues.

He added that suggestions received through the helpline will be presented to the STEDA Board to improve education policies and promote transparency in the system.
