13 Hospitals in Lahore Put on High Alert for Basant

The Punjab Health Department has issued a high-alert directive for 13 government hospitals in Lahore ahead of the Basant festival from February 6 to 8.

All hospitals have been instructed to ensure the full availability of medical, nursing, and paramedical staff, as well as medicines, drips, vaccines, and surgical equipment.

Blood bags and lists of voluntary blood donors must also be prepared in advance.

The health department further directed hospitals to allocate beds specifically for festival-related emergencies and keep X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI machines fully operational.

Active mobile and landline connections must be maintained at all times.

Hospital administrations are required to submit detailed preparedness plans to the Punjab Health Department immediately. These measures aim to provide timely medical support and maintain public safety during the festival.
