PSL International Media Rights Break Another Record

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has struck another major commercial win after finalizing the sale of its international media rights for the upcoming season.

Under a one-year global media rights agreement for PSL 11, covering all international territories except the India region, the package has been awarded to Walee Technologies, which submitted the highest bid. The league said the winning offer also cleared the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) reserve price.

On a like-for-like comparison for the same regions as the previous cycle, the latest deal represents a 149% increase in value, underlining the PSL’s growing pull beyond Pakistan and its rising stature in the global T20 landscape.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer called the outcome a strong endorsement of the tournament’s brand and competitive product, adding that the jump reflects increasing demand from cricket audiences worldwide. He also credited franchises, players, and partners for helping strengthen the league’s profile, and welcomed Walee Technologies for pushing the rights value to a new high.

Walee Technologies CEO Muhammad Ahsan Tahir described the rights win as a boost for local technology and said it marks the beginning of the company’s PSL journey, hinting at new plans for how the league will be presented internationally.

Since its launch in 2016, the PSL has steadily grown across broadcast, sponsorship, and digital platforms. PSL management and the PCB say they now plan to further enhance the international broadcast product and expand the tournament’s reach so global fans can follow the league at an even larger scale.
