Major Islamabad Roads to Be Closed Today Yet Again

Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for Wednesday, February 4, 2026, warning of temporary road diversions in the city between 8 pm and 9 pm.

According to the advisory, diversions will be enforced on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road, and Club Road during the specified time. Due to these diversions, traffic congestion is expected on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.

Motorists traveling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been advised to use alternative routes, including Rawal Road Rawalpindi, Ninth Avenue, Faqir Aipee Road, and Srinagar Highway.

Those traveling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should use Zero Point, Srinagar Highway, and then Ninth Avenue.

For commuters traveling to and from Murree or Barakahu, the police have recommended using Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, and Lehtrar Road. Citizens heading from Serena Hotel or Barakahu toward Rawalpindi are advised to take Park Road Khanna.

Islamabad Traffic Police said their officers will remain deployed on major roads to facilitate commuters and manage traffic flow. Citizens can contact the traffic helpline at 1915 or emergency number 15 for updates or assistance.
