Muhammad Arif Ullah Appointed As Administrator of Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce

The Directorate General of Trade Organisations (DGTO) has appointed Muhammad Arif Ullah, Director at the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), as Administrator of the Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI).

According to the DGTO, the appointment takes immediate effect and places the Chamber under a six-month administrative period. During this time, the Administrator will assume control of RWCCI’s records, assets, and financial matters.

The DGTO said the Administrator has been tasked with reviewing the Chamber’s governance structure, upgrading financial and administrative systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This includes shifting to bank-linked financial mechanisms and conducting a comprehensive financial audit to address outstanding issues.

The DGTO also stated that arrangements will be made to ensure the Chamber operates from a compliant office space.

The six-month period will conclude with elections to the Executive Committee, to be held under the Trade Organizations Rules, 2013. The DGTO said the elections will include 50 percent corporate representation and the enforcement of cooling-off requirements.

Progress reports will be submitted to the regulator during the administrative period, after which the charge will be handed over to the newly elected Executive Committee.
